BMC 255 Marketing Research and Intelligence




Course Description

Research plays an important role for new or existing businesses. Learn how to use marketing research for your business or marketing plans, or how to use it to expand existing markets, or develop new ones. This course will provide you with a basic understanding of marketing research concepts, its uses and limitations. Topics include research planning, questionnaire design, methodology, sampling, data processing, and interpretation of the results.

COURSE OBJECTIVES:

Upon successful completion of this course you will be able to:

  • Distinguish between management issues and questions, and research issues and questions which are required to solve the management issues and questions
  • Understand and articulate the classic research process
  • Understand and articulate the basic research concepts
  • Develop and implement a small research project
  • Source information and data for a wide range of business needs
  • Work collaboratively on research projects
  • Communicate research findings effectively
