Course Description

This program takes a communicative approach in developing fluency and functional language skills.  Students will work individually or with classmates in an active classroom setting.  Students are expected to play active roles in classes.  There are 4-week and 5-week formats.

Courses:

  • General English communication skills
  • Literature Circle discussion groups
  • Pronunciation
  • Vocabulary/Idioms (5-week format only)

Summer (I) 2024 Explore Bursary Course (ESL 101 - 094)
This course is limited to Canadian and permanent resident part-time and full-time students who have been awarded the Council of Ministers of Education Canada (CMEC) EXPLORE bursary for 2024. In addition to the approved bursary, all EXPLORE students must pay $425 at the time of registration. This includes a mandatory $275 application fee and a $150 deposit. For more information about the EXPLORE Bursary, please visit englishfrench.ca.
