BMC 193 Naturally Occurring Radioactive Materials (NORM) Management

Course Description

Naturally occurring radioactive material (NORM) consists of radio-active elements that are naturally present in the earth's crust. Although the concentration of NORM in most naturally occurring geological formations is low, higher concentrations may result from the industrial practices of refining and processing. Discover typical processes that accumulate NORM, measurement and control of NORM exposures, specific hazard communication procedures for NORM and cost-effective options for NORM disposal.
