CPE 115 GIS for Real Estate Development




Course Description

Geographic Information Systems offers the development community with an important tool for understanding demographic patterns and change in a community. This course offers participants a background in the theory and practice of GIS as a tool in real estate development. Topics will include GIS and mapping, urban modeling and decision support, data sources, urban land classification, topographical analysis, data visualization, and designand implementation of corporate GIS. Students will undertake a project in which they will select a site, and develop a pro-forma based on GIS analysis.
