FIF 121 Accepting Your Neighbour: Introduction To Theories Of Religious Plural

Course Description

Is only one religion true and all others false? Do all religions point to the same Divine Reality? Is it possible forall religions to be true without being contradictory? One of the greatest challenges for the major religious traditions is how to accomodate and validate different religious traditions in order to promote tolerance, dialogue and acceptance. This course introduces the various theories leading scholars and theologians have developed in response to these questions and issues in light of the variety of authentic religious commitment in today's multireligious society.
