EDU 142 Nemeth Braille




Course Description

This course is for sighted adults who work with or wish to work with the visually impaired and wish to acquire skills in reading and writing Braille for Mathematics and Science.

Course Details

In this course, you will:

  • learn the new symbols used for mathematics and science transcription from print to braille.
  • use the Perky Duck braille transcription program.

* This course assumes that you are familiar with Perky Duck and/or Duxbury and are comfortable inputting information in braille using your keyboard.

Notes

Students in the Educational Assistant Certificate program may substitute this course for an elective. To request a substitution or for more information, please contact our office at 403-220-2988.
