Course Description

This advanced course adhering to A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide) – Fifth Edition will enhance the planning and measurement skills learned in the basic course.  The same knowledge areas are covered in more detail; however, in this level, the objective is the development of project control skills.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

Upon successful completion of this course, you will be able to:

  • Understand a broader range of project management concepts and terms
  • Incorporate enhanced Scope, Time, and Cost Baseline Development Skills into project management practice.
  • Make use of Baselines and ongoing measurements to report Project Status
  • Implement basic Project Control Strategies

It is not possible to register online for this course until you have successfully completed BMC 352 Learning Online or have a Learning Online Prerequisite Waiver in your profile. You may enrol in this course, by telephone, if you are enrolled in a section of BMC 352 that will be completed before this course begins.

Due to the intensive nature of this course, it is recommended that you pre-read or familiarize yourself with course materials prior to the course.

Students are expected to attend all sessions.

Students will be required to complete assignments during the week and may be asked to prepare a final assignment after the course has ended.
