CPE 106 Master-Planned Community Development

Course Description

Today's master-planned communities are comprehensively and professionally planned, financed, and marketed in a sophisticated process. This introductory course explores the multidisciplinary nature of community development, leaving the student with practical insights into the processes used by leading developers in the Calgary area. Risk and stakeholder decision-making frameworks will be taught and applied to situations in order to illustrate effective ways for managers to maximize development objectives. The course covers the development process from land negotiations through to marketing and sales. 18 hours
