HUM 502 History Of The Second World War (Part I: 1931 - 1941)

Course Description

This course aims at discovering the history and legacy of a global struggle of unprecedented proportions, a total war that changed the world forever.  Students will learn about political, military, social, and technological aspects of WWII leading them through the main events of the war in a chronological manner.  Important leaders and participants, major battles and campaigns, various tactics and weapons, and military innovations will be identified in order to grasp the nature of this conflict.  Lectures presented with rare photos and wartime newsreels.  No textbook required.
