Course Description

Learn the concepts and processes of strategic planning, and understand why it is essential for the success of your organization. Discover how to set strategic objectives and action plans in order to realize your mission. Experience a planning session firsthand from defining the vision to identifying the activities needed to meet stated outcomes.

Due to the intensive nature of this course, it is recommended that you pre-read or familiarize yourself with course materials prior to the course.

Students are expected to attend all sessions.

Students will be required to complete assignments during the week and may be asked to prepare a final assignment after the course has ended.

The instructor may choose to use Desire2Learn (D2L), an online learning environment, to post the Course Outline and other course materials. If you have questions about using D2L, let your instructor know when you attend the first class. D2L may not be available before the start date of the course.
