BMC 123 Outdoor Air Quality

Course Description

When contaminants enter the atmosphere, the resulting changes in air quality can have adverse effects on human health, terrestrial ecosystems, aquatic ecosystems, and climate. Explore the use of various pollution control reduction technologies including technical assessment tools and regulatory processes. Topics include: identification of air quality issues; identification and characterization of emission sources; air quality emission and ambient criteria; plume dispersion models; and source and ambient monitoring approaches.
