EDU 121 Using Technology as a Learning Tool




Course Description

Become familiar with technology and computer-based strategies including Internet and computer operations. Demonstrate an awareness of how technology is being integrated in schools. Share existing technology and computer-based strategies used with children. Explore technology-based planning strategies for existing and future curriculum objectives.

It is recommended that this course be taken early in the program.

  • Review and Assessment of Existing Software and Hardware
  • Sharing Existing Computer-based strategies used with Children
  • Sharing Technology-based Strategies used with Children
  • Exploring Technology-based Planning Strategies for Existing and Future Curriculum Objectives

Notes

During registration in this course you will be asked to choose either Workplace or Practicum.  You will then be automatically placed in the appropriate section.  The $35 fee for the placement has been included in the course fee.

Prerequisites

For online courses, students must have taken Learning Online for Educational Assistants.
