HUM 141 Justice, Society and Men

Course Description

Building on ongoing research in the area of gender studies, this course considers limitations or restrictions that men may experience based on their gender. Assuming the goal of ensuring equality between persons, examine men's access to services linked to education, health, employment and law as offered by public institutions, individuals or enterprises. Look at policies and practices with the view of understanding how they affect men's acknowledgement, enjoyment or exercise of human rights and fundamental freedoms in the cultural, political, economic, communal, civil or other area.
