Building on the foundation of FIF 155 Life Writing: Gathering All the Pieces, we will discuss strategies, techniques, and examples to assist us in choosing how best to tell our stories. You will develop a framework or outline for a specific writing project, ideally one that can be completed in the duration of the course, and class discussions will focus on using sources and shaping the story. You may prefer to frame a larger project and then focus on a single chapter. All life-writing projects will be discussed in an encouraging workshop setting. At the end of ten weeks, you will have a complete story. This course is tailored to those who have completed the introductory course or are practising writers.
