HUM 126 Child Custody and the Best Interests of Children

Course Description

Take a look at child custody decisions in Canada's courts. What processes and factors do judges use in determining child custody in theory and in practice? What does social science tell us about the best interests of children? Do the decisions of judges align with the findings of research? These questions are explored in this course by an author of a recent study on Canadian child custody decisions.
