CPE 176 Counselling Men: Considerations for Enhancing Clinical Practice




Course Description

Learn to examine the impact of male socialization on boys and men; explore the components of healthy masculinity; gain self-knowledge of counsellor gender role experiences, assumptions, and values that can impact clinical practice; identify some of the common issues that men bring to the counseling environment; gain awareness of the considerations for female clinicians working with male clients; gain awareness of the considerations for male clinicians working with male clients; and learn about the treatment considerations and modalities that enhance effectiveness in counselling men.
