CPE 166 Housing First and Inter-Professional Practice

Course Description

Learn the historical context, development, and practical application of the Housing First model and how it applies across different agencies. Compare the effectiveness of Housing First versus the treatment-as-usual approach in targeting the homeless problem. Discuss how to work with diverse peers with different backgrounds in education, training, and outlook toward the client served. This course will focus on the means to bridge these differences, and provide a broad understanding of various roles, professions and specialties.
