FIF 165 Horses in the Ancient World

Course Description

Discuss the role of the horse in human civilizations covering a period of approximately 3,500 years, from the domestication of the horse to the reign of Attila the Hun. Examine the many ways in which horses were used: for warfare, entertainment, transportation, daily life, and as a food source. Look at the horse's overall impact on human history.
