WRI 212 Getting Published (Fiction)

Course Description

Getting your fiction manuscript or short-story idea published can be a time-consuming and frustrating experience. This one-day workshop shows you various approaches that can assist in the process. Topics include: unsolicited manuscripts, finding publishers, vanity publishers, effective overviews, outlines and chapter abstracts, sample chapters, author bios, query packages, effective titles, analyzing the market, and researching publishers and agents. Find out about the relationship between author and editor and gain an understanding of advances, and the business of writing and publishing.
