WRI 107 Memoir and Autobiography

Course Description

This writing-intensive course explores various approaches to writing memoirs, autobiography, family history, or other life stories. Learn how to use and incorporate information from various sources such as personal notes, family stories, diaries, public records, interviews, historical data. Through the writing process, gain an understanding of how to effectively use characterization, dialogue, point of view, voice, language and style, as elements of autobiographical narrative description.
