FIF 154 Classical Greek Drama

Course Description

In this review of Greek Drama from the 5th century, we will examine how theatre was produced. We will look in detail at specific plays to examine the changes in style as the century progressed focusing on tragedy and comedy. We will also look at how Greek drama has influenced almost all subsequent theatre from the Romans, through Chaucer and Shakespeare, up to the present day works of Brecht and even movies.
