BMC 275 Introduction to Field Methods in Ecology

Course Description

Gain hands-on experience using key field techniques in terrestrial and aquatic ecology through studies in the Kananaskis region. Topics include: identification of plants and animals, ecological interactions, sampling strategies and measures of biodiversity, and experimental design. In this three-day course held at U of C's Field Station at Barrier Lake, you will learn a process for the critical evaluation of environmental impact and other kinds of field studies.
