ART 118 Portrait Sculpture




Course Description

Using clay as your medium, work from plaster models, then move on to a live model. Learn how to build the human head by studying proportions and forms. Learn how to create an aesthetic harmony of sculptural elements. Students will fire one smaller sculpture and will be shown how plaster casts of sculptures are made. Supplies are included in the course fee.

Certificate in Visual Design students: Special permission is required to take this course for credit. Please call 403-220-2952 for approval.
