FIF 152 War and Society in Twentieth Century Britain

Course Description

This course concentrates on some of the major military events in modern British history, as well as the impact of war on British society, politics, and culture.  Of particular interest are the Boer War and the first and second World Wars.  This course offers a thematic overview of the origins of these wars, their legacies and attempts to prevent further wars in the future.
