TRA 164 Wild Borneo - Rain Forests and Orangutans

Course Description

Few places on Earth seem as mysterious to the western traveller as Borneo. The very name evokes images of impenetrable jungles, exotic wildlife, pirates, and headhunters. Today, the dangers are gone but the beauty of the tropical rainforest, its flora and fauna and rich cultural heritage remain. The legendary British naturalist Sir David Attenborough wrote: "Borneo – the world's third largest island – is one of the richest treasure-houses, full of an immense variety of wild animals and plants, all living in a magnificent tropical forest."
