FIF 205 Missing Piece of the Puzzle: Intelligence from World War II to the Cold War

Course Description

What do Ultra, Pearl Harbor, Operation Bodyguard and the Soviet embassy in Ottawa have in common? They are all part of the story of intelligence's transformation from modest beginnings on the eve of World War II to it's vital roles in the Allied victory in 1945 and the beginning of the Cold War. Explore the use and misuse of intelligence to better understand the significance of intelligence both in the course and outcome of World War II and in the origins of the Cold War that followed.
