Mythbusting for parents!

An article by Continuing Education instructor Judy Arnall, parenting expert, appeared in Edmonton's Child Magazine recently. In the article, Judy busts 8 Persistent Parenting Myths. This fall, Judy is teaching Parent Effectiveness Training on campus, Tuesday evenings, starting Oct 18, or at the South Health Campus, Thursday evenings, starting Nov 17.

Certificate Timetables

Wishing you had all the information you need in one place? You do! Timetables of currently scheduled courses — complete with hours, fees, dates, times and locations — are available for all certificate programs. To find your way to your current timetable, go to Certificates, choose your program, and look for the link on the right.

Finding your textbooks just got easier!

The University Bookstore is changing the way Continuing Education textbooks are organized on the shelves. No longer is there a separate Continuing Education section. As of summer 2016, all textbooks are shelved alphabetically by author - a change that's sure to make your next textbook search simpler than ever.

It may be possible to rent your next textbook...

Looking to rent rather than purchase your next textbook? We encourage you to check if your required text is part of the Bookstore's new Continuing Education book rental program. While not all texts are currently available, we're hopeful the number of titles will expand quickly. So, to help us grow the program, always ask. Several 'BMC' course textbooks will be among the first made available for rent.

Do you and your employer know about the Canada-Alberta Job Grant?

This federal/provincial grant is a funding opportunity for employers to develop their workers to meet the company's needs. For employees, the grant is an opportunity to access training that will develop the skills and knowledge they need for greater success in the workplace.
