While celebrating his 80th birthday this year, Continuing Education's popular Liberal Arts instructor Barry Baldwin — known for his enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and humorous presentation — carries on his love for teaching with another new course scheduled this fall.
Baldwin has been a Continuing Education instructor for more than 20 years, teaching 380 course hours to more than 400 students. He was a professor in the Faculty of Arts, Department of Classics and Religion, before that. His new course, Classical Curiosities: What Do We Believe and Why? starts September 17, and runs for 8 Wednesdays from 1 – 3:30 pm. Baldwin has a long list of accomplishments as an author, researcher and educator. He has published more than 1500 academic papers, countless magazine and newspaper articles, 70 short stories, and 12 books. In 1997, he was made a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada in recognition of a lifetime of contributions to research and publications.
