Do you and your employer know about the Canada-Alberta Job Grant?

The Canada-Alberta Job Grant is a funding opportunity for employers to develop their workers to meet the company's needs. For employees, the grant is an opportunity to access training that will develop the skills and knowledge they need for greater success in the workplace.

Through this grant, the government may contribute up to $10,000 per trainee, while employers must cover a minimum of one third of direct training costs. Applications are made by the employer.

For an educational course or program to meet eligibility requirements, it must be at least 24 hours of instruction and result in some form of credential, such as a record of completion, certificate, diploma, mark or industry-recognized credential.
