"The Professional Management program helped with my business planning, marketing, web design, and so much more," says Lisa Mayer who graduated from the Continuing Education certificate program in 2009, just five years after graduating from the Visual Design Certificate program.

Lisa works full time at the University of Calgary and has been taking Continuing Education courses since 1991—at least four a year! In addition to a variety of language and other personal enrichment courses, she has completed the required learning for her two certificates—both of which are helping her develop and launch a home-based business creating customized sports-related designs for promotional products.

While her Visual Design studies strengthened the art and design skills she needed for the business venture she had long been contemplating, the Professional Management Certificate gave her the skills she needed to set her business plan in motion.

"Continuing Education has been a great experience," says Lisa. "There has never been even one course that disappointed me. I'm busy with my work and my new business, but I know I'll be coming back for more."
