Effective June 1, 2013, the title of the Certificate in Desktop Applications will change to the Certificate in Office Applications. The new title will reflect that the current use of Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, Access, etc.) is no longer restricted to the desktop computer; these applications are now used on desktop computers, laptops, tablets, phones and other mobile devices.
Students have the option of remaining in the current Certificate in Desktop Applications or transferring free of charge to the Certificate in Office Applications. There are no changes to the content of the certificate, only a change to the title of the certificate.
If you prefer to remain in the current Certificate in Desktop Applications, no action is required from you. If you would like to transfer to the new Certificate in Office Applications, you must make your decision before December 24th, 2013.
UCalgary Continuing Education's Student Advisors are available to assist with the transfer or your future registrations. Please call (403) 220-2988, email email@example.com for assistance.
