CRST Designation

A Canadian Registered Safety Technician supports a safe working environment by maintaining OHS administrative processes, conducting training and using a range of state-of-the-art tools, processes and common practice solutions to OHS risks. They oversee and drive monitoring and compliance in relation to technical and behavioural risk controls.

The courses in the OHS Advanced Certificate align with the requirements of the CRST certification. Students who emerge from the University of Calgary OHS Advanced and Fundamentals Certificate combined, meet educational requirements, and are well-prepared to take the CRST exam.

CRSP Designation

The Canadian Registered Safety Professional designation is the mark of an OHS professional and a nationally recognized level of achievement within the OHS field.

The Occupational Health and Safety Diploma aligns with the requirements of the CRSP certification. Students who successfully complete the University of Calgary Occupational Health and Safety Fundamentals and Advanced Certificates, combined with the Diploma, meet educational requirements, and are well-prepared to take the CRSP exam.
